Frequently Asked Questions

You probably have a million and one questions about pole dancing?! If so then please read on and we will start with some questions that are most common!

What should I wear?
It goes without saying you should wear something that you are comfortable in. You will be using the surface of your skin to grip the pole with that is why we recommend shorts and a vest top/t-shirt, sportswear and trainers are best for the warm-up, or please wear something that does not restrict your movement. VERY IMPORTANT – DO NOT WEAR ANY BODY LOTION, FAKE TAN, MOISTURISER, HAND CREAM OR OILS OF ANY KIND.

What if I’m not very strong?
No student jumps onto the pole and performs any trick or spin with the strength that you gain from regular class and practice. It is only with time and regular safe techniques learnt in class that you can build up your strength, remember we all have to start from the beginning!

Does size, shape or age matter? What if I’m no good?
Pole dancing is for everybody! Shape and size are certainly not an issue in my class. Each lady who enjoys pole dancing is not a size zero and looks like a model.

Why Pole Dancing?
Ladies who normally attend class are a real mixture, all from different walks of life, age, size and shape. Class is usually not full of ladies who are there to learn how to strip/lapdance, nor do you need to have any previous dance experience.
Pole dancing offers a great all over workout, and can also boost your confidence. It’s no wonder that it is becoming such a popular new fitness activity! More and more people are trying it, the world of pole dancing is growing fast and becoming ever more popular.
Pole dancing will give you a good workout, and will in turn help you to loose weight, get fitter, & become more active. You should improve your muscle tone, strength and endurance.
